Enjoy DIY Solar

I enjoy DIY solar. The sun is the most important source of energy. Man has now figured out how this big free energy ball can be used for his own benefit. Although the sun has been providing us energy for thousands of years, now solar energy is being used for running our home appliances.

It must be in your knowledge that many industries and manufacturing companies have turned their ways to solar source of energy. On the other hand do you know that there has been a huge opportunity for solar energy for our home? Now you can use solar energy in your homes, for lighting bulbs in the night, have solar hot water in winters.

Turning your way to solar power is a mile stone in the history of mankind. This energy is not only free but also sustainable energy source. It gives no harm to the environment and it is all natural. You can certainly enjoy doing it your self.

Let us talk about going solar. Taking a full advantage of solar energy is to install it into your home. It saves you a lot of money and at the same time gives you a reliable source of energy. You can also earn a lot of money by providing your services to others. Installation of solar panels is not common but it is very easy and undoubtedly the most in demand product.

The energy from the sun is gathered from in the solar panels. These solar panels can either be made or purchased from any providing company. These panels contain photovoltaic cells which turn solar energy into current. I want to remind a little physics here, as we have read in our high schools, energy cannot be destroyed it can only be converted into any other form. Thus these small photovoltaic solar cells than transmit the energy to appliances or can be stored in a battery. Mostly 75 watt of electricity is generated from a solar panel of approximately 3 feet, if it is located in full sun.

For utilizing the full potential of solar panels always keep them faced towards the sun. Usually solar panels are mounted on the roof tops for best results. Face the solar panels towards East or West. Never face them North.

No doubt your neighbours would be jealous of you when they see your sleek, money saving solar panel installed on your roof top, even more when you can use as much electricity as you want without worrying about a heavy electricity bill.

Solar Panels Are Being Used to Power Bore Pumps

Solar panels are now being used to power the bore pumps on remote Cattle and Sheep Stations around Australia. In some very remote parts of Australia they are now using solar panels as the sole power supply to provide the power for the bore pumps instead of using diesel oil generators to pump the bore water from Artesian bores sunk deep below the earth. These artesian bores are for domestic consumption and to water the stock.

The Australian Government had a scheme going until recently that encouraged solar power to be installed on many outback properties and remote Aboriginal communities but due to too much demand the programme is now closed off and no new applications are being received.

The installation of these solar powered generators provided power to some very remote areas in outback Australia but because the programme was so quickly snapped up by eligible recipients the funds delegated for the project has now been expended so the programme has been closed off early and no more applications are being accepted.

One of the more popular uses applied for in the programmes applications were for solar panels to power up the bore pumps. The Station featured on the TV programme last week was a 2000sq kilometre (yes, that’s two thousand square kilometres) and it showed how the solar panels are fitted to the bore pumps. These pumps pump the bore water from bores sunk deep into the artesian water supply deep in the ground into troughs for the stock to access. Without these pumps to pump the water to the surface, people and stock would die of dehydration.

As you can see, solar panels are life giving.

Now as you can imagine, driving around a 2000sq km property every week is both time and fuel intensive. The outcome if you didn’t do it is considerably worse. Sure, there are some bigger stations out there that do it by helicopter but its still fuel intensive.

What if these outback stations were offered a means of making their own solar panels on the property, taking any necessary parts for any possible breakages in the panels on their trucks with them so they could repair any problems on site immediately? Well, the technology is now available and if there is any trade construction business out there looking for a value add to their business I can’t think of one offhand that has more potential, can you?

Classroom Technology to Support Teaching

When you were going through your teacher training, did you ever wish you could be a fly on the wall in an experienced teacher’s classroom so you could see exactly how he/she handled things?

Green Real Estate Education Presents a New Era Coming to the Industry

Real Estate Investors can see a new era coming in the green revolution. It is no longer business as usual. Years ago, all professions in real estate were forced to become part of the information age, a new information revolution. Fifteen or so years ago, in many areas hard copy paper descriptions of homes for sale and lease and commercial properties were hand delivered. When the information highway came about, computers delivered property information and allowed people to access public records and tax information, providing up-to-date statistical property reports.

We now look to the next 20 or so years from a real estate investment standpoint. In an age where values are declining, it is time to know why green can cause a major shift in a buyer’s decision. A selling price is and always has been what a buyer is willing to pay. Well, thanks to the media — through newspapers, websites and TV, especially HGTV and other stations — education for consumers is being offered. The days of accepting a piece of real estate with the the risks of unhealthy indoor air quality are becoming fewer as consumers become educated.

Through our company, Green Real Estate Education, those in the industry have a green certification program that close to 5,000 now see as an excellent first step to understanding why green building is growing so quickly. Green Real Estate Education is educating those professions such as Real Estate Agents, Home Inspectors and Mortgage Professionals and even government professionals who are planning infrastructure for the future to spread the news that going green while considering renovations and upgrades can save money. If I think back to when I was practicing real estate, if you could give me a property to market that had special beauty, or an attribute to stand out in the marketplace, I was glad. If I showed a property that had “more to offer” than others in the neighborhood, it was exciting. A home that showed lower utility bills would not have stood out as it would today.

When we teach our certification classes, we hear agents say over and over that buyers are asking about more energy-efficient product and systems in properties. Energy Star from EPA and the Department of Energy initiatives are helping consumers realize the tax incentives available to them. Those in the industry are embracing our courses for many reasons. They want to know their part so they can become leaders in the Green Revolution.

The Realtor must understand what a green certification is. Agents and home inspectors must allow energy raters into their circle of influence. All in the real estate arena must begin to help building code officials offer fast-track permitting for those who want to renovate to become more energy efficient. Mortgage professionals, underwriters and loan processors must get in the game to understand green underwriting standards coming down the pike. Appraisers are scurrying to substantiate these green renovations and upgrades for higher value. Taking the actual direct savings in utility bills is a great start for the mortgage industry. There are special forms for energy-efficient mortgage loans for consumers.

We’ll keep training so those responsible for your real estate investment can offer suggestions that can only add to its value. Make sure you look for an agent, mortgage professionals or home inspector who displays our GREEN HOUSE LOGO as a Green Certified Real Estate Professional with our Green Leadership title to lead you in the right direction. Go green save money!

The Best Facts About Solar Energy

With fuel prices climbing and solar cells seemingly more reasonable, accumulation of solar power to your residence is a great, sustained period solution to excessive energy bills. Surely many have heard on the subject of solar power but at all times believed it was too expensive, aside from minor uses in the currently widespread backyard lighting systems.

The Unique thing about solar panel is that it is cost effective, relatively easy to maintain and it is more efficient. Alot of people still don’t really no what the use of solar can do for then, they just think the only thing it does is to produce electricity. But on the contrary; solar energy can be used to heat up the swimming pool for those that have it, or even your water in the house when you want to take a bath. Solar can also be use to heat up to it up the house during cool season, instead of paying high bills to electric companies who will charge high for heaters.

Relatively the price of producing a solar panel as reduced when compared to what it used to be. Installation of what will call photovoltaic cells to a house might sightly be high, while in other places the incentives given to install solar panels reduces the total cost by half. This will let you know if the usage of solar energy is the best option or not:
