Aluminum recycling refers to reuse of scrap aluminum for making different products. The metal is re-melted which involves far less cost and less use of energy as compared to making new aluminum. About 31% of aluminum which is manufactured in U.S.A is created out of recycled scrap.

The process of aluminum recycling

Any form of aluminum household item like foils, cans, lawn furniture may be recycled. Aluminum products are accumulated from different recycling depots and are taken to the processing plants which are dealers of scrap. It is sorted out and condensed in the form of slabs. The slabs are sent to an aluminum company. Here these are crushed and shredded. The coatings and labels are all removed. After adding new aluminum to the old mixture, the process of melting begins. After melting, it is cast into required shapes.
