Like most things in life, there are two sides to solar panel energy. The best aspect for solar heating panels will be discussed here, followed by the not so good aspects of using solar panels for heating and energy.
The best aspect would be in the fact that solar heating panels develop renewable energy, because it comes directly from the sun. Unless the sun goes out, your power source will always be there, whether it is a day filled with bright blue sunshine, or whether rainclouds threaten to make it a power-starved day. There would be no talk of energy conservation here because of the everlasting use of the sun. Just build an inexpensive generator to capture solar power, and you will be doing your part to clean up the environment and reverse some of the wrong we have done with it with our use of dirty fossil fuels.
Another aspect of using solar heating panels is that you will be hard pressed to run into any opposition for its use. Even though not a great deal of people are using solar panels to power their homes and businesses, it isn’t because they don’t like this alternative power source. They in fact have a very positive feel for solar energy when asked about its usage. So you would not run into anyone trying to stop you from using it in your home. Most of these same people engaged in discussion of solar power usage indicate that there would be a very definite possibility of their using solar power in the future. The best reason given? There are no risks involved in its use.
Solar heating panels and solar energy panels are clean to run. They are ideal for home use, because –well, look at the alternatives. You can’t have a nuclear power generator in your home, so nuclear energy is out of reach of the average home power consumer. And coal, we’ve seen how that effects our environment, globally and locally. Just look at all of those industrial cities in England, covered in the black soot of burning coal. That can’t be a good thing, can it? Solar energy comes to every homeowner’s rescue, by being clean, accessible and not a hazard to our health and environment, solar energy is the clear winner.
There are so many other aspects of using solar heating and energy panels. From changing the animals feeding range, to eliminating the transportation of energy by building collectors near where the energy is used, the aspects of solar energy use could go on and on with a growing list of benefits.
Now for the not so good aspect for solar heating panels. For solar energy, when we look at the negative aspects of using it, we are looking not so much at its function and efficiency as we are the financial aspect. Creating a do-it-yourself solar energy project can be a pretty penny to start. It is because of this that, to most homeowners who would like to run solar energy in their home, it is a future project rather than an immediate reality.
Other negative aspects, aside from costs, are the land space required to gather enough energy to sufficiently run things in your home. You also need to consider the general weather patterns in your neck of the woods. How often do you experience cloudy days versus direct sunlight? Cloudy days means a cut in energy collecting efficiency of up to fifty percent.
A last point is that current technology is low in the area of converting sunlight into usable energy. What this means is that all the solar energy produced by the sun is not converted for use in our homes, so much of it is wasted.
However, the upsides, as you can see here, far outweigh any negative aspects, so you should not be deterred in the least from pursuing your plans to have a completely solar energy-run home in the near future.
